Susanna Peck

Upper Elementary Teacher
Secondary Teacher

Susanna Peck was born in Beaumont, Texas, on April 14, 1983. She moved to Southwest Oregon when she was five and back to Texas when she was sixteen. Her dad led her to the Lord when she was twelve, and she the gained personal assurance of her salvation when she was seventeen.

She knew in first grade that she was interested in teaching; her elementary teachers were instrumental in that decision. Before she was sure that God was leading her to teaching, she was deciding between being a large-animal vet, an astronaut, or a teacher. She graduated from Hamshire-Fannett High School in Hamshire, Texas, in 2001. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Texas Baptist College (Texas Independent Baptist Seminary) in Longview, Texas. She moved to Gulfport to teach in 2007. In 2017, she began teaching at Grace Baptist Academy. This year will be her eighteenth year of teaching.

She met her husband Jason when she moved to Gulfport. They were attending the same church and were married in 2010. They have three children: Remington, Remember Grace, and Ryker. They have a dog named S'mores and a cat named Midnight. Jason is the artist responsible for the murals that grace her classroom.
